(Metro), one of the nation’s leading full-service, independent retail real-estate firms, announced today it has brokered ten new locations for The EDGE Fitness Clubs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; St. Louis, Missouri; Chicago, Illinois; and Detroit, Michigan markets. The leasing team from Metro was led by Senior Vice President Brandon Anapol and Vice President Scott Benson. Metro is the exclusive regional broker for The EDGE Fitness Clubs throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern United States.
With these new leases, Metro has brokered 16 locations totaling approximately 640,000 square feet over the last 12 months for The EDGE Fitness Clubs in support of the company’s strategic plan to expand beyond its Connecticut roots.

Specific location details include:
Sterling Heights, Michigan: This 36,676-square-foot location is at Windmill Plaza and is slated to open in 2020.
Farmington Hills, Michigan: This 37,000-square-foot location is at the West River Centre and is slated to open in 2019.
Rochester Hills, Michigan: This 40,957-square-foot location is at the Avon Road & Rochester Road and is slated to open in 2019.
St. Peters, Missouri: This 40,418-square-foot location is at the Cave Springs Shopping Center and is slated to open in 2020.
Shrewsbury, Missouri: This 37,062-square-foot location is at the Mackenzie Point and is slated to open in 2020.
Westland, Michigan: This 37,800-square-foot location is at The Crossing at Westland and is slated to open in 2019.
Wayne, Pennsylvania: This 34,500-square-foot space in the Devon Square shopping center is in the heart of Philadelphia’s Main Line. The location is set to open in 2020.
Warrington, Pennsylvania: This 37,000-square-foot space was formerly occupied by Gander Mountain and is situated next to an Aldi grocery store. The fitness center opened in August 2019.
Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania: This 37,870-square-foot location is at the Plymouth Meeting Mall and is slated to open in October.
Naperville, Chicago: This 49,994-square-foot location is at the Westridge Court and is slated to open in 2020.
