Metro Commercial Leads Expansion Program for GameStop throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey
New locations to open winter 2008
Livingston, NJ (Essex County), Avondale, PA (Chester County) October 22, 2007 - As part of its continuing representation of GameStop, Metro Commercial Real Estate, Inc. has negotiated two additional locations in northern New Jersey and Pennsylvania for the world's largest videogame retailer.
GameStop will open a 1,600 SF location within The Village at Livingston, a 100,000 SF neighborhood center located at 277 Eisenhower Parkway in Livingston, New Jersey. Tenants of the center include Pathmark and Olive Garden. The center is locally owned by Mar-Sag, LP (Eastman Management), based in Livingston, New Jersey. Metro Commercial's Ira Kerner represented GameStop in the transaction.
GameStop will also open a 1,600 SF location within London Grove Village, a 350,000 SF community center located at Route 41 and Baltimore Pike in Avondale, Pennsylvania. Tenants of the center include Lowes and Acme. The center is owned by Pettingro Enterprise based in Newport, Delaware. Metro Commercial Joseph Dougherty represented GameStop in the transaction.
The stores are ideally situated to benefit greatly from the high-traffic counts and exposure from both of these centralized locations, says Kerner. The new retail outposts are slated to open later this winter.
This is an actively expanding retailer that is aggressively seeking 1,500 to 2,500 SF locations throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, adds Dougherty.
