Metro Commercial Negotiates New Lease at Hunting Park Plaza for Burlington Coat Factory

New location to open Fall  2007 

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, (Philadelphia County) March 20, 2007 - Metro Commercial Real Estate, Inc., the region’s premier full-service retail real estate company, has arranged a new 82,617 SF lease for Burlington Coat Factory at Hunting Park Plaza.

Located at Hunting Park Avenue and “G” Street in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia, Hunting Park Plaza is a 160,000 SF community center owned by the Cotswold Group, Inc., of Harrison, NY.  Current tenants include AJ Wright and Dollar Express. The new location is slated to open in Fall 2007.

Metro Commercial’s Steven H. Gartner, President of Metro Commercial Real Estate Inc., represented the Landlord in the transaction.  Burlington Coat Factory was represented by Clifford Simon of CNS Real Estate.  The space that Burlington Coat Factory is occupying was originally constructed for the Caldor discount chain..  The center will now be 100 percent leased.

“This site sits in the midst of an extremely dense and desirable demographic, serving the neighborhoods of Aramingo, Oxford Circle, Juniata Park, and North Philadelphia,” according to Gartner. “This center offers neighborhood shoppers a first-class retail environment with off-street parking, and a great tenant mix.”

Burlington Coat Factory is a national department store retail chain which offers current, high quality, designer merchandise at prices up to 60% below those at other department stores.  Over 350 stores can be found in 42 states nationwide.
