Metro Commercial Negotiates New Lease for Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America

New state-of-the-art medical facility to open in Pottsville.

POTTSVILLE, PA – April 20, 2006― Metro Commercial Real Estate, Inc., the region’s premier full-service real estate company has negotiated a 12,755-square-foot lease for the Ambulatory Surgical Center of America “ASCOA”, a leader in the surgery center and surgical hospital industry.

The ambulatory center will be located within Cressona Mall, a 310,000 square foot neighborhood center located at Route 61 and Route 183 in Pottsville, PA.   The center, which is owned by Dack Realty, is anchored by Advance Auto and GIANT Supermarket, and current in-line tenants include Staples, CVS, Blockbuster Video, and Dollar General. 

Metro Commercial’s Greg Jones represented the Dack Realty in the transaction; CB RichardEllis negotiated the lease on behalf of ASCOA. 

Upon opening in Fall 2006, ASCOA will lease a portion of the former 55,000 square foot Ames discount store. The medical facility will offer area patients several full service operating rooms in addition to specialists in orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, and general surgery.

Based in Norwell, Massachusetts, ASCOA currently operates 21 physician-owned surgical centers throughout the country, focusing on providing exceptional quality of care while maintaining outstanding financial results.
