Metro Commercial Leads Expansion Program for Great Clips throughout Northern New Jersey
Metro Commercial negotiates two new locations for the national salon chain.
Morris County, NJ - March 29, 2006-- Metro Commercial Real Estate, Inc., the region’s premier full-service retail real estate company, has announced that they have negotiated two new locations for Great Clips, the nation’s leading no-appointment hair salon. Both transactions were completed by Metro Commercial’s Tom Butera.
In East Hanover, NJ a new 1,800 SF Great Clips will be located within the Designer Center, a 140,000 SF community center located at 136 Route 10. The center is owned by H.D.C. Company, LLC, and includes area tenants such as Target and Baja Fresh. Michael Whitmondt of GVA Williams represented the landlord in the transaction.
In Succasunna, NJ, the second lease totaling 1,300 SF will be located within the Roxbury Mall, a highly visible 645,574 SF community center. The center, located at 275 Route 10, currently includes national tenants Home Depot, Kohl’s and Linens-N-Things. Wilson Landmark of Fidelity Management negotiated the transaction on behalf of the center’s owner, Roxville Associates.
Great Clips, one of the nation’s largest franchisors, offers competitively priced, high-quality cuts and perms to men, women and children, There are currently over 2,600 salons in 120 markets across the US and Canada.
According to Butera, “Great Clips plans to open 30 locations over the next two years within community centers throughout Northern and Central NJ. This is a well-positioned small retailer that is actively pursing 1,200-1,500 SF locations.”
