Metro Commercial Negotiates New Lease in Center City for Cosi
Twelfth location in the Philadelphia area for the restaurant chain
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – March 2, 2006― as part of its continuing representation of Cosi in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, Metro Commercial Real Estate, Inc. has negotiated a new location for the fast casual restaurant chain at 833 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia.
The lease for 3,489 square-feet was negotiated by Metro Commercial’s Michael Murray and Craig Sherby. The location is Cosi’s twelfth in the greater Philadelphia area, and its 91st nationally. This location will serve the rapidly growing areas of businesses and residences around Washington Square, Independence Mall, and Jefferson University Hospital, which is Center City’s largest private employer. The eatery plans on opening in late summer of 2006.
Recently renovated, 833 Chestnut is a 174,095 square-foot first class office building owned by Digital Realty Trust. CBRE represented the landlord in the transaction.
Cosi, a concept coffeehouse and sandwich bar offers an appetizing alternative to fast casual food chains.
Metro Commercial is seeking additional high visibility locations for Cosi in both downtown and suitable suburban locations that have upper incomes and significant daytime office populations.
