Metro Commercial Strengthens Its Regional Presence with New Office in Fort Lee, N.J.
The company’s latest office, led by established regional
broker Jeff Lagowitz, solidifies Metro Commercial’s commitment to
retail development in Northern New Jersey
Fort Lee, N.J.—May 5, 2005—Metro Commercial Real Estate Inc.,
Greater Philadelphia’s premier full-service retail real estate company,
today announced its expansion northward into the Northern New Jersey and
New York metropolitan area, with the opening of its new office in Fort
Lee, N.J. It also announces the appointment of Jeff Lagowitz as the Principal
in charge of the region. This move solidifies Metro Commercial’s
unique brand of ambitious property marketing, property management, and
construction services that has already seen success in Pennsylvania, Southern
New Jersey, and Delaware. Metro Commercial also has offices in Mt. Laurel,
N.J., and Conshohocken, Pa.
The new offices are located at Fort Lee Executive Park, 2 Executive Drive,
Suite 660 in Fort Lee. From here, Metro Commercial is perfectly positioned
to represent retail expansion for marquee retailers in the North Jersey
corridors, while also giving the company easy access to properties throughout
the New York metropolitan area, including Manhattan, Long Island, and

Lagowitz as Principal of the Fort Lee office. Lagowitz has over 16 years
of broker experience in the North Jersey region, and will be advising
many leading national retailers on their site selection in Central and
Northern New Jersey, including PETsMART, Sports Authority, Balducci's,
FedEx Kinko’s, Cosi, and Cartridge World. Before joining Metro Commercial,
Lagowitz was Managing Director for both Garrick-Aug Associates, and for
Robert K. Futterman and Associates, for the New York metro area suburbs.
He had previously represented the expansion needs of retailers including
Circuit City, Apple Computer, Bally Total Fitness, Organized Living, Sprint,
P.F. Chang’s, J. Crew, Macy’s, and LensCrafters.
Lagowitz’s primary responsibilities include building upon Metro
Commercial’s already strong presence in North Jersey, new business
development, and recruiting additional brokers to support the company’s
position as a leading retail real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast.
