Metro Commercial Negotiates Leases for Fortunoff’s in The Plaza at Cherry Hill and Valley Forge Shopping Center

The agreements provide the outdoor furniture retailer with its first stores in South Jersey and Pennsylvania

Greater Philadelphia, April 5, 2005 – Metro Commercial Real Estate, Inc., Greater Philadelphia’s premier full-service retail real estate company, has negotiated two new leases for Fortunoff’s, an outdoor furniture retailer: 28,200 sq. ft. in the Plaza at Cherry Hill; and 9,200 sq. ft. in the Valley Forge Shopping Center. The deals create the first Fortunoff’s stores in South Jersey and Pennsylvania. Metro Commercial is the exclusive leasing agent for both The Plaza at Cherry Hill and the Valley Forge Shopping Center.

In New Jersey, Fortunoff’s will lease the vacant space formerly occupied by Seaman’s Furniture, adding more value to the prime shopping center next to the Cherry Hill Mall. The Plaza at Cherry Hill, located on Route 38 and Mall Drive in Cherry Hill, is a 437,557 sq. ft. shopping center anchored by Tower Records, Raymour & Flannigan, and Kensington Furniture.

Across the bridge in Pennsylvania, the State’s first Fortunoff’s will replace Rack Room Shoes in the Valley Forge Shopping Center, a shopping destination in the heart of the King of Prussia Mall retail megaplex. Located on Route 202 and Town Center Road in King of Prussia, the 250,000 sq. ft. community shopping center is anchored by Bed Bath and Beyond, Marshall’s, Michaels, and CompUSA.
