NANCY VAN ISTENDAL, Chief Financial Officer

Nancy Van Istendal serves as Chief Financial Officer for Metro Commercial Real Estate, Management Services and Construction Services, Inc. She is responsible for overseeing all financial functions for the corporations in addition to all property management accounting for 50 retail properties comprising over 5 million square feet.

She provides various services to clients including preparing Argus and Dyna accounting pro-formas, coordinating year end audit and tax work, acting as liaison for refinancing projects, handling client construction draws. Over the years, she has developed strong banking relations with many area banks, which has proven to be valuable to Metro and clients.

Nancy came to Metro with considerable financial expertise gained with two previous firms, Site Development, Inc. and Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young). As Corporate Controller for Site Development, she was in charge of financial functions of the corporation and related partnerships, which owned over 2 million square feet of retail space and 90 freestanding commercial buildings. Her responsibilities as a Senior Staff Accountant for Ernst & Whinney included overseeing the audit of numerous real estate clients, among them Rouse & Associates and Kravco.
